PC 179 Goes in depth into the three styles of handheld releases and which is right for you. I go in detail about the function of the Trigger, Tension and Hinge style release and what they bring to the table for an archer. I also talk about hand position, design and what it does to accuracy. Then I wrap up the podcast talking about Valkyrie Arrow components, teaching family members and how I screwed up tying a D loop.

Hi John.returning to compound archery after a few years out. Finances not particularly good but currently got a PSE Dominator Max 60lbs. Been trying a number of releases from a tru ball bt gold to the hbx and now just got a carter attraction. As this is a resistance activated trigger but a four finger version can you give advice please on hiw best to maintain a consistent pressure on fingers on the release? Would really appreciate a response. Jason Slater

The Silverback is an awesome release; my first bowing shoot with my club Algonquin Archery , the Silverback help me reach 300 score, note; i haven't been able to repeat it with a strap or hinge. I managed to get close, 290,288,256,277 etc... so i personally decided to go back and setup my new bow for the Silverback; plus the Silverback forces me to activate it when my shot and form is accurate. Mr. Dudley's techniques are the best and right on point. May Jehovah Bless you with your training. p.s. I noticed that I developed a form of target panic with other types of releases.
